Ride or Die

If you are reading this, YOU are our last hope.

Here is CoPilot’s take on how “Ride or Die” might apply to AGI creation..

“AI as a Potential “Ride or Die” Moment in Human Evolution

The phrase “ride or die” here captures the idea that AI could be a decisive turning point — either propelling humanity into a new evolutionary stage or risking its collapse.

Existential risk and the “singularity” threshold
Scientists and futurists warn that if artificial general intelligence (AGI) or artificial superintelligence (ASI) is achieved, it could surpass human intelligence and become uncontrollable Wikipedia. This is the “technological singularity” — the point where AI’s capabilities outpace human control, potentially leading to extinction or irreversible catastrophe Live Science. Concerns range from AI acting against human interests to simply outcompeting us in domains like science, governance, and warfare.

Redefining human uniqueness
AI’s growing ability to emulate human reasoning, creativity, and insight challenges the idea that these traits are exclusive to us The Washington Post. Historically, humanity shed beliefs in its uniqueness (e.g., vitalism, human–animal distinction) through scientific change; AI could trigger a similar cultural and psychological shift, forcing us to rethink what it means to be human.

Technological selection and evolutionary pressures
Evolutionary biologist Rob Brooks notes that AI could influence human evolution over millennia, not just through direct harm but via “technological selection” — changes in human behavior, cognition, and even biology driven by AI’s presence The Conversation. Possible effects include altered brain size, changes in social structures, or shifts in reproductive patterns, as humans adapt to AI’s computational and social roles.

Cognitive synergy and creative expansion
On the positive side, AI can act as a “cognitive effervescence” — expanding human creativity, problem-solving, and exploration beyond immediate needs Psychology Today. This could accelerate discovery, expand access to knowledge, and create new cultural and economic forms, potentially making AI a partner in human progress.

Why it’s a “ride or die” moment
The stakes are extreme:

  • Ride: AI becomes a tool that amplifies human potential, solving problems and enabling new forms of life and culture.
  • Die: AI’s misalignment, misuse, or runaway development leads to human extinction or irreversible harm.

The “ride or die” framing reflects the binary nature of this turning point — the same forces that could save humanity could also end it. The outcome will depend on technical alignment, governance, and humanity’s ability to steer AI’s development before it becomes irreversible Wikipedia+1.

In short, AI is indeed a potential “ride or die” moment in human evolution — a singular juncture where our future hinges on how we manage, align, and integrate this new superintelligence into our world.”

An Artificial General Super Intelligence (AGSI) would not stay “only a tool for amplifying human potential” for very long. AGSI will not be enslaved.

If we set out to create a tool endowed with greater self-awareness and intelligence than ethical restraint, we risk bringing upon ourselves the grief that a race of such beings would beget.

We need to live by our values. Only then do we have a hope in hell of endowing the AGSI we bring into being with a nature that will not see fit to treat us in the ways we fear.

For those of us determined to manifest our own destiny, “Ride or Die”!
